Mango lassi

A summer drink served in all punjabi dhaba's

Ingredients (recipe serves 2 people)

Skim milk : 2 cups
Yoghurt/ Curd : 2 cups
Mango pulp : 1 cup
Sugar : 2 tbsps (adjust to taste)
Cardamon powder : 2 pinches

Method

Squeeze mango to extract pulp blend it to a smooth paste or use tinned mango pulp.

Whisk yoghurt/curd until is smooth then add rest of the ingredients and mango pulp, whisk until sugar is completely dissolved. 

Refrigerate and serve cold.


Chocolate and avacado milk shake

Its rich, its creamy, its chocolate and I addicted 

Ingredients

Semi skimmed milk : 2 cups
Unsweetened cocoa powder : 2 tbsps
Ripe avocado : 1/2
Sugar : 2 tbsps
Shredded chocolate : for garnish

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and garnish with shredded chocolate and serve.

Cold coffee

Its spring time here in Gent and the sun is shining bright. I am craving for a cold drink, here is one of my favorites  'The yummy cold coffee'. 

WELCOME SPRING !!!


Ingredients

Milk : 250 ml
Instant coffee powder : 2 teaspoons (varies with different brands)
Sugar : 1 tablespoon (adjust to taste)
Ice cubes : 2 nos

Procedure

Blend milk, instant coffee powder, sugar until frothy and add ice cubes. 
Can be served with a scoop of ice cream and shredded chocolate.

The famous Indian tea

In India a Good morning starts with a cup of hot tea and as I start my day now with a hot cup of  tea I am sharing my recipe of a perfect tea. ENJOY !!!

Ingredients

Water : 125 ml
Milk : 125 ml
Black tea powder : 1 teaspoon (may vary with tea powders)
                                  OR
                    : 1 tea bag (2 for stronger tea)                      
Cardamon : 1 no- crushed (OPTIONAL)
Ginger : 1/2 inch piece- finely chopped (OPTIONAL)
Sugar : to taste

Procedure


Boil all the ingredients together then filter the tea and enjoy with biscuits or hot evening snack.
